Family Activities That Prevent the Inherited Exclusion

Segregation and exclusion are some of the biggest challenges of our time. On an individual level, it can lead to poorer life chances in general and a lower level of physical and mental health. This affects everyone, but especially children and young people. Children who grow up in social exclusion risk ending up in a negative developmental chain that is difficult to break.

With the support of the Crown Princess Couple’s Foundation (Kronprinsessparets Stiftelse) and the Gålö Foundation (Gålöstiftelsen), Kompis Sverige will be organizing group activities for families in 2024 with the aim to giving children and their parents the opportunity for context and new experiences.

The aim is, in addition to offering fun activities that the participants may not otherwise have access to or know about, partly that the children get to know other children from other parts of the city and partly to strengthen the relationship between children and parents.
